How to Sign Up for First OnLine

It’s as easy as picking up the phone to register for First OnLine. All you need to do to register is be a First New York member and call (518) 393-1326 and press 2 to speak with a Member Service Specialist.* The process involves a Member Service Specialist activating your account and setting up your password.

How to Use the First Online Banking Login

Once you’re registered and your password is set up, you can begin using First OnLine! You can log in to the platform using these simple steps:

1.      Connect to a safe and reliable internet source

2.      Visit First New York’s home page

3.      Go to the login box

4.      Enter your login credentials (Don’t save your login information to a public device or a device you share with family or kids)

5.      You’re in! Now, you can view the entire First OnLine portal!

How to Access Your Account Information

First OnLine has a main dashboard that you can see when logging in. It contains a brief overview of all of your accounts with First New York Federal Credit Union and any outside accounts you’ve added.

From here, you can navigate to specific products and services underneath payments, manage money, additional services, video banking, secure forms, and a loan center. If you want to go back to the main dashboard, you can click the “My Accounts” tab. If you want to know specifics about your account, you can click on the one you’d like to see the account history on.

Now, that you know the basics of your mobile banking platform, here are some four key things you can do within the First OnLine dashboard. There are some unique features of the platform that you can use to streamline your banking.

Zelle

You can easily send trusted family members, friends, and organizations payments through First OnLine. All you have to do is set up Zelle in your First OnLine portal, and you’ll be able to start sending and receiving payments fast. It’s no cost and only takes ten simple steps. E-Statements

Remote Mobile Deposit

You no longer need to cash your checks at the bank. When using the remote deposit feature through First OnLine, you can cash your checks remotely from the comfort of your home.

“I remember the first time I was able to deposit a check using my phone! My wife is a teacher and each year one of her payroll checks has to be given to her physically to deposit,” says Ben Lawrence, First New York’s Albany Branch Manager. “With the First New York Mobile app and FNY On-The-Go, we can now take a picture of a check, from the comfort of our home, and have it deposited right into our account.”

Apply for a Loan Online

One very convenient feature is the ability to apply for a loan right from First OnLine and FNY On-The-Go. If you’re sitting at home and want to apply for a car loan, you can do so right on First OnLine or FNY On-The-Go. All you have to do is click on the “Loan Center” tab to start your application.
